Degorth
Degorth
Degorth is a gray wolf with an aversion to pants. He is currently the Head Administrator of Neurofurs Station. A second, less visible form is as a massive brain in a tank hidden away in the sprawling corridors of the Station. Some could argue this is his “true form.”
Appearance
Grey wolf, usually wearing a hoodie and nothing else. His head is permanently open, giving a good look at his brain (while it's still in his head).
The huge brain is not normally visible unless it wishes to be.
Personality
Easy going and not too worried about keeping his brain safe, he's happy to rub some lobes when given the opportunity.
The giant brain is normally reclusive and sticks to its massive tank except on certain occasions where it may teleport itself into the lounge to mingle. It's not normally possible to visit Degorth's brain unless he is expecting you as the hallways leading to him seem non-euclidean.
Kathy
Kathy is a Wasteland Deathclaw with a penchant for brains. If she isn't eating them straight out of the skull, she's trying them on as her own. She has the special ability to swap her brain for any she finds in the wild, and if she particularly likes the brain she stuffs it into a bag full of them for later use.
Appearance
Kathy is a large slender Deathclaw with hefty balls and breasts. She usually wears brains far too large for her skull, relying on her horns to keep it from falling out. Occasionally she will steal someone's brain to use knowledge only they have, such as the access codes to a terminal or the combination for a lock.
Personality
Flirtatious and hungry, she'll tease anyone who she thinks has a tasty mind, slowly getting closer until she can swipe it from them.
Vergis
Vergis is a Dragonite space mechanic. Despite his rather low intellect he's quite skilled at spaceship repair and breakdowns, often working as a ship breaker.
Appearance
Vergis looks like your typical Dragonite at first glance, however he has a cybernetic right wing and there's a very faint seam around the top of his head under which hides his walnut-sized brain.
Personality
TBD
Zoxlan
Zoxlan is a big-brained male kobold with the aility to control machines and electronics using his brain. He arrived on the station with Jago the Moon Dragon.
Appearance
Standing at roughly 4ft tall, this hyper reptilian boasts a very high intelligence and a knack for invention. His brain audibly sloshes and throbs, becoming noticeable when he's focusing fairly hard on a particular task. He never wears much clothing, choosing instead to wear a simple bandolier and loincloth that's far too small to cover anything.
Personality
Despite being a certified genius, he is still a kobold, and as such is rather dismissive of cultures and societies not his own. He is mischievous, often using his technomancy abilities to mess with people. Unlike most Kobolds, Zoxlan does not have a natural desire to serve Dragons, instead seeing the stereotype as insulting.
Incon
Jack Tierney
Prior to the Calamity, he was a mechanical engineering prodigy working for the Reimann Corporation Commercial Robotics Division. Once the economy plunged into chaos, he accepted an offer from his colleague in the Artificial Intelligence Division, Yerin Fang, as well as the corporate security officer, Victor Armon, to ditch the company to form a pirate crew. For the next few years before the consolidation of the Merchant's Guild, he served as a shipboard engineer, constructing and programming robotics on the side.
Jack's body has an intelligent onboard AI, dubbed Auto. Their relationship is mutually beneficial.
Appearance
The outwards appearance of normal grey wolf, Jack is 5'10“ and weighs about 300 pounds, owing to the metal and electronic components that comprise his entire body. He wears a white long-sleeved collared shirt and tan khakis. He almost always wears a black armband to denote his robotic status.
Personality
Jack is intelligent, crafty, and a dependable craftsman. While slightly paranoid about the state of his brain sometimes, he doesn't mind living about Neurofurs station.
AutoJack is similarly intelligent, yet surprisingly creative for AIs. He is innately protective of Jack's brain. Due to space limitations, Jack was unable to incorporate a speech module and is mute without a blank brain in his head

Lord Amadeus Hess
Having led the United Merchant's Guild since its inception as the head of the parliament-like Tribunal, Lord Hess has inserted his hardline positions on law and order within a normally chaotic and lawless organization. A brilliant tactician, he is primarily responsible for the unification of a central government as well as military efforts to quell raider fleets as well as push back against the encroaching Reimann Company in 5 AC. Hess holds psionic abilities though he keeps the origins of his powers a tight secret. In battle, he wields a trident conjured from his abilities and demonstrates an ability to teleport short distances. Much of his past is not known, having been lost during the pandemonium of the Calamity. It is rumored that he was a rejected Reimann Company gene project that was cast off into broader society after his powers failed to manifest at an early age.
18 years before the Calamity, Hess adopted a baby fox who was delivered to his doorstep and raised him as his son.
He was since retired from leading the Tribunal, 14 years after the Calamity.
Appearance
Hess stands at 6'5“ tall and wears a breastplate and steel rice hat. He almost always has a dark grey cape draped over his back and shoulders.
Personality
To those that are not close to him, Hess is cold and calculating. However he uses this to hide his internal storms, plagued by paranoia and concern over his actions and legacy. He has regrets over his past actions as effectively a warlord, which was ironically how he was introduced to the station after being defeated while hunting a quarry.

Louis Armon
Pre Calamity
Prior to the Calamity, he was the security chief for a Reimann Corporation robotics research facility. Once the economy plunged into chaos, he accepted an offer from his friend in the Artificial Intelligence Division, Yerin Fang, as well as a friend from Mechanical Engineering, Jack Tierney, to ditch the company to form a pirate crew. For the next few years before the consolidation of the Merchant's Guild, he served as the quartermaster and gunner, often times coming to odds with Yerin Fang's increasingly questionable decisions. Four years after joining her crew, he is killed in a skirmish along with battle against a Reimann Company convoy and sucked into the vacuum of space after an artillery shell struck his turret.
Neurologically Optimized Hierarch (NOH)
Reimann corporation scavengers searched the battlefield and identified Louis' body as still intact enough. Brought aboard the RCS Harmony and experimented under then Regent Scientist Dr. Tjing Long, he was brought back to life as a 'living' superweapon. Nanites replaced his natural brainmatter and granted him the ability to teleport short distances at will. He was unleashed upon Merchant Guild fleets with much surprise, causing significant destruction. During a battle where he nearly captured the de-facto Guild capital, he was defeated and deactivated by his former captain, Lord Yerin Fang, alongside Jack Tierney and Amadeus Hess.
Victor Armon
His body was kept by Lord Fang as she unsuccessfully tried to restore his original personality. She was, however, about to install a benign personality. Victor Armon, however is an unpleasant alcoholic, and disagreeable to work with. Despite her pleads, he left her and took up occupation as a bounty hunter. He disappeared for several years before turning up at Neurofurs Station. After demonstrating exceptional skill and background with security, he was offered a position as Chief of Security.
Louis Armon
After a brief reprisal of NOH and subsequent defeat, Louis reemerged as the dominant personality, having access to the memories of his former selves in the past decade. He quickly reassumed his role as Security Chief.
Appearance
Louis stands at 5'9“ and boasts a cybernetic right arm and a cybernetic right eye. While his former self wore a green longcoat, he much rather prefers the blue uniform of station security. He often wears a cap to cover his otherwise exposed brain.
Personality
Louis: A cautious and careful tactician, he likes to play defensive and read a situation before making a decision. Victor: A loud, obnoxious drunk, his is very trigger happy, especially when it comes to teleporting brains out of skulls. NOH: Cold, cunning, and malicious, incredibly loyal.
Terry
Terry
Terry is an arcanaloth, a demon who seeks to broaden her power and influence by collecting information. Of course in the context of this setting, this means that she's developed a way to literally collect and store the information contained within brains. Her intelligence combined with her demonic nature has granted her immense magical power, elevating her to a demi-god status and granting her effective immortality and invulnerability. She regularly contracts work as BBEGs-for-hire with the Law and Chaos Lords, a mysterious group of eldritch gods who coordinate and monitor the everyday doings of certain worlds. Terry does it not out of necessity, but to, “make things a little more interesting”
Appearance
Terry natural wears a purple and green robes with golden tassels. She also wears a pair of golden glasses. Her fur is reddish brown and her eyes - scelera and irises- glow purple.
Personality
Mischievous and playful, she is not exactly evil but certainly likes to express her chaotic elements. At her nature, she is a collector and a librarian and takes great pride in maintaining her library, which is housed within her melon to table sized brain.
Yerin Fang
Prior to the Calamity, she was a high-ranking researcher for the Reimann Corporation Commercial Robotics Division studying artificial intelligences. Once the economy plunged into chaos, she devised a plan with her then best friend, Victor Armon, the corporate security officer, and offered a mechanical engineer friend from university, Jack Tierney, to join her in engaging in piracy and ditching the company that she has despised for so many years. For the next few years before the consolidation of the Merchant's Guild, she waged war upon Reimann Company convoys as well as other civilian merchants, having a knack for capturing crews and experimenting on their brains, often 'swaying' them to her side.
After retiring, at the pressuring from the Merchant's Guild, she retired and found her way to Neurofurs Station where she's established a supermarket store, selling general wares as well as brain care products.
Appearance
A brown dwarf goat, short, but not exactly thin, standing at 4'1“. She wears a white lab coat over a white shirt with a black tie and blue jeans.
Personality
An evil little thing, morality warped and crazed from past trauma after captaining her own pirate space ship with a pirate crew. She is prone invent and experiment on others with dubious consent, but is capable of being cuddly, suggesting a bipolar nature.
Brainslover96
Chris (Captain Cortex)
A samoyed who occasionally dresses in spandex and stops crimes with his wide array of psychic powers. He works at Wuff Coast University in the neurology department, but is on the station when not at work or fighting supervillains most of the time.
Appearance
A fluffy samoyed with an exposed brain faintly glowing with psychic energy. When in his “superhero” outfit, he wears a purple-and-blue bodysuit, and when in “civilian” clothes is usually dressed business-casual (or in a speedo because he just burst out of a cake, long story). He once was converted into a cyberdog by the evil Xakire, and had his limbs and jaw replaced with augments, but this was reversed immediately after Halloween ended (though an alternate universe counterpart who still is a cyberdog is somewhere on station).
Personality
Cheerful and friendly, Chris is always up for cuddling with others (though not sexually most of the time.) He loves brainrubs and helping people out, though he has a low tolerance for illegal shenanigans. Oddly enough, when not fighting supervillains he has a good off-duty relationship with a lot of them, including Xakire.
Sordid and Overdramatic Backstory
Buster
A roster of characters played by the user Buster.
Buster
Name: Buster (Sarah Stargazer)
Age: mid 30s
Height: 6' 3"
Sex: Female
Species: Coati
Buster is an engineer. born in space aboard an inherited escape ship, she's never seen her homeworld, or those that attacked it. only heard stories of what it was like before her people were scattered to the stars. she dreams of striking it rich, getting a big enough ship and rounding up as many of her people that are still out there.
Regenerative nano-tech containing a neural backup allows her to resist most injuries and missing body parts (including her brain) can grow back. they have the limitation of only working if she has enough spare body mass though, leading to things like calcium shortages making her bones brittle until refilled. they can recognize when the brain in her head isn't a Coati brain, and will leave the backup on, instead of shutting off. as a side effect of this, she actually only turns into an 'empty headed' moron if the wrong brain is inserted too long. when brainless the AI the runs her nano-tech takes over, but it can either run her body at full speed and be a bit dim, or full intelligence but be herky-jerky and lag a lot. it lacks the ram to do both.
Thanks to her nanotech she has two variant forms, one she calls Armstrong Mode that's a 1:1 recreation of the durability and strength of an infamous metal gear boss, and the ability to turn herself into cake that was added for a haloween costume.
Mother to Brett, younger sister to Hunter, the player who thought up Giselle and Broberk (and is still baffled to this day how they're on the station cause they're just her in game avatars not actual people) and the original Teddy's Brain is a clone of.
Tracy
Age: Deceased at 23, has been a ghost for 12 years
Height: 6' 2" at the shoulders, used to be 7'
Sex: Female
Species: Gengar/Arcanine
Tracy is a Gengar, formerly a Haunter, who used to be an Arcanine before a car accident decapitated her. Due to not realizing the piece of metal stabbing her in the neck had gone all the way through she used the last of her fire breath on said piece of metal, heating it up to cauterize the edges of the wound before she blacked out. Hoping that would slow the bleeding and buy the paramedics enough time to save her. This combined with a paramedic 'mon noticing her lack of heart beat before they pulled her free and therefore not aware her head was no longer attached, led to him restarting her heart with a zap before attempting to extract her and making that discovery. as a result, while Tracy died, her headless body was technically alive. She woke up in the hospital to the sound of the doctors bring her very confused and very argumentative mother to the room they had her body in, and was in the process of freaking out that her head was on the opposite side of the room from her body and neither was the perspective she was seeing things from.
She's figured out how to reshape her (or his if she's in the mood) body, and turn parts of it intangible or invisible at will. like, say, turning her head semitransparent to show off her mind. she likes to use this to pop herself apart.
when not using her body, it tends to either find a warm place to curl up, something soft to cuddle (frequently someone), or both.
she disappears from the station periodically due to having a partner and a kid back in Palette town.
D&D Duo (Giselle and Broberk)
these two are basically just iterations of buster's personality, albeit with gimicks tacked on. they hang out in the foodcourt a lot, where broberk works and Giselle sometimes volunteers to cover registers.
Name: Giselle
Age: 22 (elder by Aarakocra standards)
Height: 4'0"
Wingspan: 12' per wing, spine to tip
Sex: Female
Species: Aarakocra
Class: Druid/Monk
A retired holy assasin. she is here mostly for the food.
---------------
Name: Broberk
Age: 50
Height: 4' 2"
Sex: Male
Species: Corgi (dwarf reskin)
Class: Barbarian
A beast hunter trying to keep people from realizing he can't actually fight any more due to an old injury.
